Seula Lee, violin

Seula Lee, from Dallas, TX, entered the Curtis Institute of Music in 2016 for graduate studies, studying with Shmuel Ashkenasi and Ida Kavafian. Ms. Lee has won Grand Prizes at many competitions, both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles. She served as a co-concertmaster of the Columbus Indiana Symphony, North Texas Symphony Orchestra and Eastern Music Festival.

As a chamber musician, Ms. Lee performed with the Zora String Quartet 2014-2017. She has collaborated with Ani Kavafian, Peter Wiley, Carter Brey, Atar Arad, Roberto Diaz, Steven Tenenbom, Eli Eban, Anne-Marie McDermott and CJ Chang at many music festivals and programs. Ms. Lee has been a violin associate instructor at the Jacobs School of Music in Indiana University. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of North Texas, a performer’s diploma in Chamber Music from Indiana University of Bloomington, and an Artist’s Diploma from Curtis Institute of Music.
